Hello, I’m Carla. I specialise in empowering women to regain control over their health and wellbeing so that they can look and feel their very best through midlife and beyond.​​​
I am particularly passionate about helping women navigate a smooth journey through perimenopause, which can be really unsettling with a range of unpredictable symptoms including sleep disturbance, hot flashes, digestive problems, anxiety, low mood, fatigue, joint pain and feeling utterly knackered and disconnected.

When I hit perimenopause, my experience was similar to that of many other women. Somewhere around 47, I felt I lost who I was, my joints ached, I felt exhausted, which made it really hard to exercise, and my mood was flat - I felt joyless. On reflection, I'd been stressed out for a really long time, and I wasn't prioritising my health or sleep. When I finally accepted that this was, in fact, perimenopause and I needed to embrace the transition and prioritise self-care, things started to change. I can't tell you that magic happened overnight, but with small, consistent diet and lifestyle changes, I found myself again, and I managed to gain control over my weight and symptoms. Whether or not you choose to take HRT, nutrition and lifestyle are key to feeling more balanced and managing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, so that you can feel your very best (or at least feel more normal and functioning again!).

My interest in nutrition began in my twenties when I was struggling with chronic fatigue after glandular fever. I came to understand the profound impact that food and lifestyle play in improving health, and this was the missing piece of the puzzle that connected what I ate to how I felt. In my early forties, my desire to help others improve their health led me to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist. So, here I am, passionate (and a bit nerdy to be honest) about using science/evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle to support and help others.

​My approach is personalised, compassionate, and practical. I meet you wherever you are on your health journey, taking the time to listen, understand your goals, and create a plan that’s tailored to you. This is not about perfection or restrictive dieting and calorie counting; it’s about enjoying nutritious, delicious meals that work for you without deprivation. It's also not about eating nothing but lettuce leaves, but IT IS about abundant colour, variety and making mindful choices 80% of the time.
